My Earth Day Mission: To end waste, in all of its forms

In celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day today, I am mindful that caring for our planet is critical to protecting our communities and our way of life.
We are all learning during this public health crisis just how quickly and dramatically life can change. We have also gained a deeper appreciation for those who provide essential services, including sanitation workers who are on the front lines meeting our public health and safety needs.
At Rubicon our mission is to end waste, in all of its forms. Together with our partners and customers, we live out a mission serving our planet every day of the year. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors are key to how we operate.
I want to change the narrative about the waste, recycling, and smart city technology industries. We must approach the problems associated with recycling, sustainability, and the circular economy differently from how it has been done in the past.
Using technology available today, businesses can make their waste diversion efforts more sustainable. It starts with keeping materials out of landfills and creating a more circular economy through recycling and reuse; but it expands to include creating a more efficient and effective society.
This Earth Day, I am proud to celebrate what our team has accomplished and we will continue to do our part to drive innovation in the waste and recycling industry.
Wishing you a healthy and happy Earth Day.
